Back to the Future 1985 scifi film

Running time: 115 minutes

Language: English

Eccentric Dr. Emmett Brown is author of several rather peculiar inventions, but this time he came up with something really big. Teenager Marty McFly meets with him in the middle of the night on the mall parking lot. Doc Brown arrives in DeLorean DMC-12 that was slightly modified - he added a time machine that is powered by plutonium. Unfortunately before he could explain all the details suddenly Libyan terrorists appear and start to shoot. Few of the bullets hit Doc Brown and Marty is forced to use DeLorean to escape from them. The time machine set by the Doc Brown for the past drops Marty straight into year 1955 when he come up with the concept of time travel. On arrival Marty stumbles upon a geeky teenager George and realizes that this is actually his future father, who in 1955 was just a high school student. Marty helps his escape from a bully called Biff and avoid being hit by a car. Unfortunately car hit Marty and knocked him unconscious, but when he wakes up a bigger problem becomes obvious - the young woman that takes care of him, Lorraine, is actually his future mother and she seems to be falling in love with Marty. Now he has to bring his future parents together otherwise he might never be born...

Classic science fiction movie (first of the trilogy) with time travel and the consequences of the time travel as the main themes. Good cast, original plot with the grandfather paradox mixed in (if we would get back in time and kill our grandfather before he had any children we would not be born and thus could not travel back in time) and nice elements of humour made this film a cult classic.
