Dave Lizewski, average teenager from Staten Island, is a comic books fan and one day decides to buy a bodysuit and become a real-life superhero. Unfortunately on his first day of fighting the crime he is badly injured. While recovering from the wounds he learns that he actually gained a superpower - he is able to endure pain like no other human being. From that point his career as superhero, known as Kick-Ass, has begun with great help from the Internet. But one day he went too far when he tried to stop a drug dealer and he had to be rescued by masked girl, who overpowered few grown men. The girl was the Hit-Girl, a daughter of real superhero, Big Daddy, who actually fights the crime in the city.
Scifi movie based on the comic books, which isnít particularly original in times when Hollywood turns any comic book they find in the movies. But Kick-Ass is in many ways different from other such movies, because it is another superhero movie, but at the same it is the parody of such films. The humour and light approach to the genre worked perfectly and despite being just another comic book superhero Kick-Ass is fresh and interesting.
