Running time: 200 minutes
Sauron sends his army of beasts to attack the Kingdom of Gondor and defeat the last power that can oppose him. Gandalf tries to reactivate the old alliances among the men and other races, but it seems that his mission is doomed. King of Gondor is mad, King of Rohan feels that Gondor did not helped him in last battle and even if they would agree to join their forces it still would not be enough to defeat Sauronís army. They are not sure if Frodo is still alive and if there is a chance that he will destroy the ring.
Last part of the J.R.R. Tolkienís trilogy is presenting the final clash between the forces of good and evil. Just like Two Towers this movie is filled with spectacular battle scenes, remarkable visions of Mordor and a lot of CGI. Unfortunately the creators seemed to be convinced that each part of trilogy should have at least 3 hours and Return of the King is partially filled with scenes that take too long, has not much value or just repeat what was shown before.
